Charlotte, North Carolina - May 15, 2017 ISLFC is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Nugent to our Development Academy team of coaching staff. Chris is a highly talented and experienced professional who has proven himself to be one of the most sought after youth coaches in the region.

Chris Nugent is a native of Ashford, Middlesex, England, he holds a USSF “B” license and is on the pathway to finalize his “A” license. After coming to the United States in 2006 to play college soccer in the NCAA, Nugent started his coaching career in camps, including MLS camps. He was also an assistant coach for ODP Boys and later became the Technical Director for ICRD. Chris Nugent spent the past 4 years at Twins City Youth Soccer Association as the Director for U11-U14 Boys Select, as well as the U12 Director and Head Coach of the NC Fusion Development Academy. 

This statement of intent is a further show of our club’s commitment to the unique development pathway that ISLFC provides top players in the Carolinas.
